At SoCal Honda, we like to honor those who go above and beyond to help their community, especially in times of need. After hearing Dr. Abraham’s inspiring story and impactful work at Kedren Health, we knew we wanted to help, however we could.

After seeing a need for vaccine distribution in many Latinx and Black communities that were at high risk for contracting the virus in South Los Angeles, Dr. Abraham created a pioneering vaccine distribution model to help serve those that may not have otherwise have had access. The non-profit clinic quickly become a vaccination hub by providing free COVID-19 vaccines by appointment and walk-up registration, with the goal of expanding to an entire fleet of mobile vaccination clinics. To help build and establish this new Mobile Fleet Program, we donated a Honda Odyssey lease for the next three years! This new Mobile Fleet Program would allow its vast network of volunteers to readily pick up expiring doses, take them door to door to homeless encampments, and distribute them quickly and equitably to the daily lines of seniors and underserved neighbors at Kedren Health.

Dr. Abraham was thrilled about the donation saying, “We are working against the clock to pickup leftover doses, increase our vaccine supply, and get those doses into the arms that need them most. I am thrilled the SoCal Honda Dealers are helping us build our Mobile Fleet Program with this donation, because every resource is critical at this time.”

This donation is just one of the many projects that we are working on to help our community in the Southland during these tough times.
