Helpful Honda Complementary Gas to Tank Veterans and Military Members!
This past Memorial Day Weekend, a near record-breaking 3.3 million people in Southern California hit the road. With gas prices continuing to rise, the Helpful Honda team knew they had to help! We popped up at gas stations across the Southland with our Random Pumps of Helpfulness, ready to start the summer on a high note!
Veterans, active military, and lucky Honda drivers were treated to complimentary gas from Thursday to Monday, Memorial Day weekend! Popping up in cities like Glendale, Los Angeles, Santa Ana, and Tustin. With a constant flow of cars and line out of the station, one excited recipient was heard saying, “I was about to put my last $10 in the tank so that I could get back and forth to work this weekend, and now I have a full tank! You guys are incredible, and you seriously just made my week!”. Another driver shared, “I’m going to drive out to Utah to be with my son. He’s moving, and I have a few days off, so I’m going to go up there and help him pack. This is very helpful. Thank you”. Whether it was getting them to work or to see family, we were happy we could help at the pump.
It’s our job to be helpful, and it’s always great to give back to those who have given so much to our country. One appreciative veteran said, “I am retired military, and oh my God, you don’t know how much I needed this right now. I was literally on E.” After a fun weekend of helping, the Guys in Blue were able to pump $15,000 of gas into well-deserving tanks.
