We kicked off this summer’s 4th of July weekend with free gas for veterans, active and retired military members, and loyal Honda drivers across Southern California. While summer fun in California remains socially distanced  due to the rising number of coronavirus cases, we were able to help out people hitting the road to drivable destinations for family BBQ’s, camping trips, hikes, picnics in the parks, and so much more! We were honored to be able to appreciate the sacrifice and service of our military members for Independence Day weekend.

Veterans in Costa Mesa and Irvine felt so appreciated as we thanked them for their service with free gas: “Thank you so much for doing this. I feel so special for serving my country and to be able to get free gas from you helpful, lovely people is really something special,” and “I’m a veteran and my husband is too. This is really amazing. Thank you so much!” A driver lucky enough to receive free gas in Chino Hills was so grateful, saying, “You guys are my angels today. I’m going through some difficult times right now and getting free gas is just amazing. You guys definitely made my day. Thank you!” In North Hollywood the free gas we pumped for one driver allowed him to have a great 4th of July BBQ with his family: “I was agonizing over how much gas I could put in the car and still afford food for our BBQ. You just lifted a weight off my shoulders and gave my family a great meal at the same time!”

The helpfulness didn’t end there! On National Ice Cream Day, we were back at the pumps distributing free gas for Honda drivers and treating everyone to some free ice cream. Drivers were ecstatic about receiving their free gas and ice cream. One driver from Glendale exclaimed: “This kind of stuff doesn’t happen every day; free gas and free ice cream!” Another driver from Costa Mesa said: “Thank you so much for doing this. I feel so special to be able to get free gas from you helpful lovely people, it’s really something special.”

So, what’s next? This fall, we’ll be hosting various back-to-school supplies drives across the Southland for students who need it most.
