To kick-off the school year right, we were back with Random Acts of Helpfulness throughout the month of September. Knowledge is power, so we visited local elementary schools across SoCal and hosted special back-to-school book fairs, where we provided FREE books for every student!

Beginning September 7th, we brought the excitement of reading to over 400 students at each school. We set up tents and tables full of endless choices and helped every kid pick out their very own book to keep. One delighted student in San Bernardino told us, “I can’t wait to go home and read my book!” At another elementary school in Reseda, we donated extra books to the school’s library for all students to enjoy. The librarian expressed, “Thank you so much for donating the rest of the books to the library. Our library is small but all of the kids use it at one time or another.”

We continued these donations to libraries at other schools nominated through our social media accounts. At an additional 50 locations, we delivered books to school libraries so that they were accessible to all students. Giving back to local schools and celebrating the importance of learning was just one more way we could help out communities in SoCal.

So what’s next for us? ‘Tis the season for more Random Acts of Helpfulness, as we will be spreading holiday cheer across SoCal with free gas from our tanker truck and complimentary goodies from our treats truck. The celebrations will continue as we help ring-in the New Year with free Snuggies to SoCal residents braving the cold for the Tournament of Roses Parade. To keep up with where we’ll be bringing Random Acts of Helpfulness in the New Year, visit and follow us on Twitter @HelpfulHonda and Instagram @socalhondadealers!
